This is the man who stole my heart and I am lucky enough to call him mine. I mean I love this guy like crazy. He is the kindest, most generous, caring, loving, compassionate man. He will do anything for me or our children. You can usually find him looking at old cars on CL or some other site, working on some project for our house or someone else's, watching American Pickers or playing with the kids. I never knew I could be so lucky but here I am blessed with this fantastic man I call my husband!
Maryah Therese "The Champ"
When I was just 18 years old this lovely young woman made me a mother and changed the course of my life forever. She taught me to be independent and hard-working. She taught me how to be resiliant and to show grace under pressure. It is my undying belief that God granted me the gift of holding her in my arms the moment she was born, allowing her to teach me everything I know about motherhood and then allowing me the gift of holding her when she passed. May 7, 1994 - May 15, 2010. The dash in between holds stories I can't wait to share! My dancing, loving, beautiful, talented, caring, faithful, shining, rockstar of a daughter! She won the fight with cancer by TKO! Never forgotten!
Victoria Lauren "Tori" or "Toria"
My beautiful eldest daughter-by-heart. Tori entered my life at age nine and she has grown into this beautiful young lady right before our eyes. She is quiet and caring, watchful and loving, sensitive and concerned and giving. She loves those lucky enough to be part of her life with an unconditional love that is beyond powerful. She is a fierce dancer and she owns the stage when she's on it! It is people like Tori that make being a step-parent easy. I couldnt' have asked for more!
Morgan Isabella "Mo" or "Bella"
Morgan is my second born and she made sure I understood that children are all different in personality. Morgan loves to tell stories, she loves to recall her memories and share them with anyone who will listen. She has a photographic memory and she hates being teased about it. She loves dance and moving and playing with her friends, she is the "baby whisperer" and children of all ages are drawn to her. She is loving and beautiful, caring and confident, graceful and fierce. Morgan is amazing and she makes me proud!
Elizabeth Skylar "Libby" or "Libster Lou Who"
My lovely and youngest daughter-by-heart. This little lady walked into my life at the tender age of three. She walked all over my heart and made it her own in just a short time. She knows exactly how to wrap Daddy around her finger and she is mischevious at heart. I love that little look she gives to let you know that she knows some inside joke about you but she's not tellin'! Libby loves to watch her big sisters dance and join in. She is the crafty kid in the family. She loves all things art and she will color, paint, cut and paste, create in any way shape or form some of the most amazing pieces of art that an eight year old can create. She makes my heart smile!
Nicholas Jerome "Nick" or "Nicholas of Rome"
Nick is my boy! He is my first boy! He is the boy who taught me about what boys are all about! He is a builder, an old truck lover, an "I want to do it because Dad is doing it" guy. Nick loves anything that involves tractors and old cars, farms and barns. He loves to torment the dog and his little brother. He is a bug slaying, crazy, non-stop, 80mph BOY! He stole my heart and is one of the three men that will live in my heart forever.
Daniel Thomas Jr. "Danny"
Danny is the sweetest, most smily, loving, kissing, drooling, climbing, exploring, curly haired, independent little one year old ever. This child has a smile that comes right from his toes. He is our baby, our last baby and he is awesome!
The Mama - aka "Corky", "Mom", "Rachel", "Mama", "Ma Perez", "Ma P", "Sissy"
I am the wearer of all hats mom. I work full-time as an HR Director at a Nursing Home where I find that I learn a ton and laugh a ton with all the antics of our senior population. My primary job and the one I love the dearest is my job as Mom. I make appointments, I keep appointments, I am a taxi, a nurse, a maid a boo-boo maker better and I can stop tears with hug...I'm an all around super hero! LOL! NOT! I am a traveler, writer, reader, napper who loves to sit by a fire, hold a sleeping baby, care for my family and friends kinda gal. I am just really in love with my life and I enjoy writing about it so here I am and I cannot wait to see what is yet to come.
This is the Perez Family - Party of EIGHT! I love this group like mad and each of them brings so much life to our family. I would be bored to tears without any of them. We miss Maryah our "anchor" and even though she is not physically present she is part of this craziness day after day! Never forgotten
